Smittybilt is proud to introduce their new Pivot Heavy Duty Oversized Tire Carrier and Tailgate Reinforcement System that is engineered to hold up to a 40-inch spare tire. The monoblock aluminum construction is combined with forged chromoly mounting brackets for the ultimate in strength to eliminate tailgate sagging and rattles, even while holding up to 135 pounds. The new Pivot Heavy Duty Oversized Tire Carrier triangulates the tailgate mounting and body tub hinge points using existing mounting holes to distribute loads across a wide area while maintaining the easy single action opening and closing of the tailgate.

Durable and Strong: This HD Pivot Tire Carrier allows a jeep JL to carry up to a 40", 135 lb spare tire without tailgate sag or buckling. A robust aluminum exoskeleton runs to center of tailgate. An internal gusset/brace adds structural rigidity and supports the aluminum JL tub. 

Built for Customization: This tire carrier features adjustable positions, improved departure angle. and ability for use with an open back or slant-back top. Mounting holes for optional trail jack mount, CB antennas and tie downs. 

Factory Provisions: Works with factory or OE bumpers  and third brake light and back up camera provisions are included. 

Easy to use: Maintains easy single action of opening and closing of the tailgate without the rattles or vibrations. No drilling is required for installation.
